Youth Development Pathway

2024 has seen BRFFA spend considerable time launching a Youth Development Pathway, or YDP. The idea is to offer fully qualified coaching to children between the ages of 10 & 17 years old. In order to achieve this we have teamed up with Bristol Water Fisheries, The Angling Trust and the Environment agency and trained 6 members to level 2 lead coaching standard so we can offer safe and well organised training plans to youngsters.

The program is divided up into Bronze, Silver & Gold awards with each section carried out over two days (which don't need to be consecutive) Each section costs £30 to enter includes club membership and all the equipment you need to learn be a competent fly angler.
