Beginners.
As with any new challenge one may face, a helping hand is useful and usually well appreciated.
Fly fishing is one of those pastimes that has evolved over a great deal of time and as such has become a very large subject indeed.
Fly fishing is made up of four essential elements. The Cast (the method of presenting an artificial food source), Entomology (the study of Insects), Water Craft (the understanding of your chosen arena) and finally the understanding of your quarry, the Trout.
There are of course other aspects to fly fishing which will become apparent to beginners as they become time served, but essentially the aforementioned are, to all intents and purposes, the essential elements of fly fishing, which can be treated as a basic understanding or taken to exploratory and scientific levels.
So with that in mind where do you start. Simple, B.R.F.F.A will help point you in the right direction. We have all been beginners at one time and at this stage of the game we know the importance of starting off on the right foot. Amongst our members we have professional game angling instructors, qualified coaches and many many anglers with hundreds of years worth of cummalative knowledge that they will happily share with fellow fishers and association members.
